IN this episode, Naruto and his classmates are given a survival exercise by their sensei, Iruka Umino. The exercise requires each team to retrieve two scrolls, a Heaven Scroll and an Earth Scroll, and reach the designated destination without getting caught by other teams. The first team to arrive with both scrolls will pass the exam.
Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke form a team and set out on their mission. They are confident in their abilities, but they soon encounter their first obstacle when they are ambushed by a rival team led by Kiba Inuzuka and his dog, Akamaru.
Kiba is a skilled fighter and challenges Naruto to a one-on-one battle, while the rest of the teams watch. Naruto accepts the challenge, but he soon realizes that he is no match for Kiba's superior strength and agility. However, Naruto's determination and quick thinking enable him to outsmart Kiba and retrieve the Heaven Scroll.
The team continues on their journey to find the Earth Scroll, but they are again ambushed by another team led by the mysterious Orochimaru. Naruto and his team are no match for Orochimaru's powerful jutsu, but they manage to use their teamwork to evade him and retrieve the Earth Scroll.
The episode ends with Naruto and his team racing towards the finish line, hoping to be the first team to arrive with both scrolls. They must overcome more obstacles and face more rival teams if they want to pass the exam and become full-fledged ninja.
